As a painter, I have varied interests and paint different subjects
such as Landscapes, Seascapes, Still Lifes and Figures. Following in
the footsteps of master painters, such as John Singer Sargent and
Winslow Homer, I work outdoors as well as in my studio. During the
process of painting, I look for strong light and shadow patterns and
I study the subtle color vibrations that occur between warm and cool
colors in nature. I want my paintings to convey a sense of energy
and life. I believe what gives a painting life is a great design, a
strong sense of color and the application of the paint itself when
executed with confidence and boldness.
